I’ve lived in Fairphew twice and moved out of Halifax after the last experience. All I remember about the place were the crackheads bumming money outside the mini malls, screaming welfare cows pounding their kids, next door neighbours who used to stuff notes in my mailbox looking to borrow money and unshaven men with baseball caps and untied sneakers shuffling up and down Main Ave. all day long. They should amalgamate Fartview with some areas of Spryfield and rename it Shitburg.

I live in Fairview. I like it. It’s only one little pocket of Fairview, down around Dawn Street, that’s a cesspool. Most of the area is a nice, blue collar neighborhood. Nobody has a Lexus, but everybody has a garden. But I don’t mind the Fairview-as-cesspool perception. Keeps my property taxes low.
I use to live in Fairview and loved it, ’nuff said. (’nuff said meaning I’ve lived in hood area’s since I moved out of the country and love it. Yes I have a forged hood pass).However, there are some very nice areas of fairview I have happened to stumble into. Its not all bad. Just watch out for drive-by beach balling.Convoy what!?!
Nah, Fairview is TEN times worse than Spryfield. I feel safe walking the streets of Spryfield at night, I get nervous getting out of my car to pick up a snack in Fairview…
hahaha.. sometimes I think that way about Fairview.. I find that there’s no eye candy in fairview what so ever!
All of HRM is a cesspool. Fairview is just part of the great expanse of slumland (Halifax)
