well now monty, it isn’t the city proper, but the fucking human pigs that infest it. and of course we all know who they are. you see the same ones, everyday of the week doing it. but if you don’t speak up, then you are no better than they are.
i take this city, to be one of the biggest laziest cities in canada. even a small hick town, like yarmouth or truro, looks a lot better than this fucking burg.
yeah, say what you will, if you don’t call these shitholes out, then you are just as guilty. think i’m wrong, what about child abuse, senior abuse? those are just two areas, that warrant your bile, and outrage, and if you see or know of, then you should report that also.
then we can move along to spousal abuse, drinking/driving, and a long list of other shit. if you don’t become involved, you are deffinately part of these problems too.bitch at me as much as you want to, buti know that i am right. if you see or know something, that shouldn’t be happening, don’t report to proper place, then you are just as bad as the ones doing the shit.

Not all of Halifax. It depends where you live. My neighborhood is clean, and property owners have respect for the appearance of their property, houses, etc. Maybe the OP is just living in a dirtier part of the city.

The way I see it, is the place deserves to be treated as a dump.
After all that’s how the people who live there are treated…like garbage. High property taxes,yet you clear your own snow from the sidewalks…or you get a fine. Yet in Dartmouth the sidewalks are plowed for you ~;)
Ticket nazi’s on every corner if your cars at the meter a second too long, a $25.00 tax. Councilors without a clue (that’s why the consultant costs are through the roof) A top heavy bureaucracy that’s sucking millions from the tax payer, but they also need consultants to “help” them do their jobs. Consultants without a click (there are 99 clicks in a clue) who do ‘feasability studies’ to make the rail link to the container piers also a truck link…who are so fucking dense, they decide to price widening the whole damn ditch for trucks & trains, which requires moving millions of feet of rock & rebuilding all the bridges…instead of making the roadway down the same railway line that already exists & having a ‘traffic’ light system to hold trucks back until the train is clear etc.
You can’t even park your car on side streets in front of your own home ! for a quarter of the year, or its ticketed & towed away…$200.00+ in fines & tow charges ! !

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed the loss of most outside garbage cans ? Once they were all over the place now they’re no way near as plentiful as they used to be… the amount of garbage/trash/recyclables is as much or more…but trash recepticles aren’t around to catch the debris.
So you see the result, more trash on the streets & sidewalks. Its not brain science or rocket surgery.

I’m already looking at moving out of this country for my retirement, not because I really want to go, but because I know I can have a much nicer lifestyle & pay little or nothing tax wise in many other places. Which will make my pension go futher & after working for most of my life I want to pay less not more !
