To the company who owns the crane in the Trillium property lot beside Park Vic:
There is a billboard sized illuminated sign on the top of your crane that only comes on after dark.
I feel as though there are a few reasons this billboard sized illuminated sign should cease to illuminate at night:
1 – It shines into my bedroom (except when it is shining into some pour souls apartment in Park Vic) and either wakes me out of a sound sleep or causes trouble sleeping in the middle of the night.
2 – No one wants to rent your fucking crane at 3AM
3 – Unnecessarily bright lights should follow the city quiet time policy of 11pm
4 – Even if someone wanted to rent your crane at 3AM, the rest of the sign is too bright to read your company name which I’m sure is displayed in some contrasting colour

**Note: If this ad space is being rented by some other company – You have chosen a shitty time to advertise, piss off.

halifaxmentor: it’s a lighted sign, not just a light. The crane is also no taller than the buildings surrounding it. If a plane is in danger of hitting the crane, it’s already going to be hitting the surrounding buildings.
Darn it. I needed a crane at 3:00 AM yesterday morning but had no idea where to get one.

While I don’t have an issue with illuminated signs, I rather like this bitch – and agree with abc123. I doubt the purpose of the lighted sign is for people’s safety.
Weird that it has a rent me sign on it but doesnt have any contact info. If there is however contact info couldn’t you call and complain maybe they will shut the light off or program it to turn off earlier or something. Just a thought.
The crane isn’t the problem, it’s the incessant thud….thud…thud…thud that makes me batshit insane! Do they have to start that shit so early in the morning?

I feel the OP’s pain. Tim’s built a franchise in my parents’ backyard (literally) and its lights shone into my bedroom. Even light blocking blinds didn’t help 🙁
abc123…look it up,it’s a federal requirement to put a light on a temporary fixture such as a crane,however using it as an advertisement is legal…please get your facts before you embarass yourself
