Cars weigh on average 2700 lbs. Humans weight approximately 120 – 190 lbs. Whether or not you have the right of way when you cross the street, the car will always win if the two collide. So, pedestrians, don’t jump out in front of my very heavy vehicle. Don’t be that person who ruins your life and the lives of so many others. And, car drivers, please be careful – you don’t want your lives ruined either. Put away the phones, put on your seatbelt, pay attention to crosswalks and please please please pay attention to four way stops. I installed a camera in my car because so many people just walk out in the middle of the road with the assumption that the driver will always see you and we will stop. And, cars just ignore four way stops. You may not care for your live but I’m protecting mine from anyone who decides they want to take on my car. Be smart please. —A careful driver who follows the rules of the road

Sensible piece, lots of good points for both pedestrians and drivers. I’m sure you’ll be chastised that you have to bow to the walkers…
I was wondering which camera you bought?
I swear I’ve seen some people who had death wishes hoping to have a free meal ticket from the insurance companies…providing they don’t end up with rigor mortis first.
Instead of teaching pedestrians to be aware of their surroundings, teach cars not to hit people. Stop the victim blaming.
You wanna walk out in front of me wearing your Ipod, head down looking at your smart phone, and not paying attention at all…my insurance is paid in full and I won’t feel the least bit bad about squishing you. I pay the fine, laugh at your own stupidity, and move on.
I would also like to know more about the camera, does it comes with missile launcher attachment?
Why care? Vrooom, vrooom, and jay-walker gets the message!
“Humans weight[sic] approximately 120 – 190 lbs.”
In north america? You’re on crack.
Besides, students are invincible, everyone knows that…
“Be smart”
You expect way too much from society.
Trying to pre-absolve yourself of any guilt you’ll feel as a result of not paying enough attention and running down people, even the stupid ones?

I kind of like the individuals that shoot across the bus stop (inbound from Sackville) across to the bus stop in front of the StupidStore gas bar on Joe Howe at five o’clock rush hour.
There’s a fucking crosswalk from the bus stop approximately a hundred feet at the intersection.
Darwinism at its finest!!!
This gets me everytime i hear people say it. I HAVE THE RIGHT of way. yes you do. and the REASON you have this right of way is strictly to cover liability in case of a vehicle/pedestrian collision. what doesnt give you the right to do is step out into traffic without first…LOOKING both ways to ensure it is safe to. Second, making eye contact with drivers to ensure they see you. Third…WAITING for traffic to stop . too many times do i see people without even so much as a look to see if its clear, walking with their backs to drivers and then suddenly just turning and stepping out into traffic.. then waving their hands in the air like the drivers owe them more. My father always said, better be right than DEAD right….USE your right of way to stay alive, not to risk an accident and then get compensation for it later….its just not worth it.
I swear people have no idea how much it HURTS to get hit by a car/bike/baseball bat
run as fast as you can into a tree or wall. there. that’s close.
