Let’s do the math: 849*52 = 44,148 per year. That looks about right for the average considering that most professionals and tradesmen make as much or even far more than that. I’d say that, outside of the service industry, government and most companies would have an average pay around that level. So, OB, you need to have the education to become a tradesman or professional if you want to be at that average or higher.

Averages are useless for understanding income (or anything that doesn’t follow a bell curve). What’s the “average” income at Wal-Mart, 20 an hour?

i make about that average gross…..only problem is i only see half of it by the time it gets to me
..and the word “your” continues to take a beating.
Halifax is a military town, that might skew the numbers a bit.

Reading the Job Bank website, Not too many jobs paying 20 a hour on there, Stay in school, ahahaha, like half the hardware store I work in with degrees in business, science and art, Working for the same 12 bucks a hr I make, but they have 50k in debt to pay off, Couldn’t be more glad I didn’t go to school!
