Today I watched a guy cross at a crosswalk, there was no traffic close by when he entered. His right hand was stretched completely out and he was carrying a feather in it as he walked across. A car approached and didn’t even slow down coming within inches of this guy’s feather carrying hand. What the fuck? Anyway, Florida plates, so you can’t blame the local assholes on this one. —Cranky

A majority of drivers simply don’t give a shit. If they could run you down and get away with it, they would – pedestrians are simply an annoying impediment to them getting somewhere .549 seconds sooner.
Yup. Had a lady run straight through a stop sign and then stops right in front of me as I am walking through a crosswalk (I was in the middle of it by then) on Highfield Park drive this morning. Asshat driver. I felt so bad for delaying her a whole 10 seconds so I could cross the street.
most pedestrians are too engaged with their phones to pay attention to the drivers that are paying attention.
