I’ve been working hard and loyally for you for over a year with only a 50 cent/hour increase since I started. Today I learned that the new guy I’ve been training for the past two weeks has been started off at a higher wage than what I’m making after busting my ass all this time!
Figuring this was just a systematic error I brought it to your attention. Found out it wasn’t an error and on top of that, I got denied another increase. What in the actual fuck!
Am I being replaced due to incompetence? Um, no– why are you getting me to train then?
Am I being replaced so you can get someone for cheaper? Um, no–you wouldn’t be paying the newbie MORE if that were the case.
So how DO you come up with the audacity to pay the trainee more than the trainer?!!! You guys are total fucking twats to work for and you can kiss this great employee good bye! —Unappreciated Employee

I had this happen to me. I refused to train the new guy until my wages surpassed the new guys. Seeing as I was the only person who knew how to use that piece of equipment, I went home and waited for their call. They called, and my wages were upped. Funny thing was, when I gave my notice a year later they didn’t have me train anyone new, and it wasn’t a week before an untrained guy flipped it over and put himself in the hospital. So much for their “any idiot can do that job”, and it cost them about 150,000 to replace the equipment and a bunch of workers comp fines. Looks good on them, assclowns!!!!
SHITD …. I hear ya, but unfortunately the suits in the office for the most part (not all) can’t see any further than the trim asses on their office flunkies.
They have no idea what it takes in the feild, or the floor to get the job done & in their own minds …if they’ve seen it done , they are then qualified to do it ! lol
Should make a most of them brain surgeons, after all , its shown on TV …. I guess they have problems with blood spurting !
Are you female? Is the trainee male? If so, get used to salary inequalities; because even in 2013, men are still higher earners than women in their field. I suggest you bring an action against your employer on grounds that his actions are discriminatory/against your human rights and freedoms as entrenched in the constitution.
why is that immediately the place you go no_fool. It works really every way now. Females get jobs that should go to more qualified males (with a larger pay scale) just so that the company can say they are gender equal. Natives can jump thru government positions based just on ancestry. Its really all over the place

I work in a job that has NO DISCRIMINATION for wages. All wages are for Job Classification.
For example
A 3rd carpenter whether , male ,female, black,white 3 different shades of blue ….Same rate . period… want more money get upped to a level 2 carpenter. or what we call a lead. Don’t care about anything except ‘skil’ level, & the documentation to back it up ! -period-

Now, lets tackle your dumbassery shall we. I wasn’t given the opportunity to train anyone, which is the REASON for giving notice. Anyone dumb enough to tackle a very dangerous job without proper training, puts themselves in unnecessary danger. Why should I care, I didn’t even work there then? Is it my responsibility to care about every person that gets hurt, by making poor life decisions, at a company i don’t work for anymore? I certainly didn’t lose any sleep over it, that’s for sure.
My concern was more for you being concerned that he was hurt. Guess I got an inaccurate tone from your post. the internet lacks body language and so forth.
You should care because someone got hurt, but as relevancy goes with the direct subject of the thread, you most likely assumed that anyone would assumed that you obviously cared. By “I didn’t care” might have meant “I didn’t feel responsible”. No right of me to call you on that given that I’m not a mind reader.
