Ok, so we all know that there are waaaaaay too many bus bitches… but seriously, Im pretty sure its been MONTHS since the mumford terminal has lost its computer screen allowing people in the shelter to know what times the buses come. And with that little store closed there isnt even a clock, or a fucking map, or paper schedule for people. I dont always have a phone to call the go time, let alone know what the fuck they are, and frankly Im too lazy to freeze my ass off even more to walk down to the sign, call the go-time, discover that my route number “is an invalid route number” and get even more pissed off be metro transit’s shitty fucking service.
I dont see why its taken so long to replace that… then again, barrington street terminals was broken for almost a year… its not that hard to find a cheap monitor to put in there…we dont need high tech flat screen monitors telling us the times. I just want something that shows me the times the busses are due to arrive even if its a damn piece of paper.
— route 52 is an invalid route number.

Try Highfield park Terminal – its been blank for a good year !! Is it still blank?
I don’t think any of the terminal bus screens are working (except for the two around Scotia Square) and they’ve not been working for years.
The ones I know don’t work, and haven’t for a ridiculously long time…
Mumford
Highfield
Mic Mac
Bridge
Aldereny
Penhorn
I might’ve missed one or two
I think you got it, Mind Snap. Know what bothers me more than the screens being gone? The fucking public washroom was closed down. I remember when the bloody place was built, and they were touting that it had a public washroom so you didn’t have to miss your bus to take a piss. That washroom lasted all of a month I think.
Ever notice the one word used in most bus bitches is “lazy”, whether it is drivers or riders?
You missed Sackville.
Alderney works most of the time.
Did MT forget to pay their internet bill? lol
Mike: Sorry, I don’t go to Sackville, so I was unaware that it was also broken
Donkey: The one at Alderney has been broken since the fall
52 leaves to go to fairview at 20 to the hour, and 10 after the hour. going downtown to bridge it usually is 20 after the hour and 10 to the hour.just remember what time your last bus ride left a certain place, and give it one half hour to the next one, simple as that.
Yeah, but the 52 also goes on a 15 minute schedule, and I believe it drops service down to an hour on weekends.
I *think* the screens at Lacewood are working, though I haven’t looked at them in a while so I’m not 100% sure.
It also sucks that they had to close the public washrooms at Mumford Terminal, too! Although I do last remember them being pretty scuzzy with heaps of graffiti and vandalism. Thanks losers! Now I have to run down to Timmy’s to drop a log while I wait for the bus… whenever it may come.
One cool thing that you can still see at both the ferry terminal bus terminal and on Quinpool Road near Windsor Street is buttons that you used to be able to press which would tell you when the next bus was going to come. I used to be fascinated by them when I was a kid… like, you’d press the fucking button, and some chick would tell you when the next bus comes, man! They don’t work either, and haven’t for about 15 years now.
Get a fucking bus schedule people or plan your routes ahead of time. Oh the stress!!!
Screw the screens, why can’t they just have paper print-outs of the schdules?
yeah, get a fucking schedule when you can find one,or at scotia square if you are there,or over in the mumford terminal at the sobeys area.or how about just going online to the hfx.site.

GoTime deserves its spot in hell for being overhyped and for not really working. What’s worse, they haven’t really communicated anything in regards to why it isn’t working, when it’ll work, or if they scrapped the idea.
Somedays I feel like we’re trying to build a ridership by being as convoluted and confusing as possible.
As for schedule books, I know Lawton’s in Scotia Square always seems to have a decent amount of them handy, as does the Sackville terminal.
Gah, same with some of the stops on Larry Uteck! The 81 is the only bus that comes up here, and yet the route number has been ‘invalid’ for the better part of a year.
HA, the 17 is an “invalid” route number at the stop on Inglis just before SMU (corner of tower and inglis). It’s annoying but always makes me LOL.
I think HRM needs to make more hard copies of schedules available. Sometimes they just run out and won’t print more until the next schedule change. That SUCKS. So I always make sure I get at least 4 or 5 when they first come out. I keep one in my bag/purse, give one to my mom and keep a couple around my apartment in case I lose one.
Anyone who ever needs a schedule, call the HRM Call Centre, they mail them out for free and always have plenty of supply !
yes, they need to get the screen back up and running again at Munford terminal, and not only that , the washroom needs to be working for the publics and especially for the disabilties…come on , it’s not fair just for the trandsit drivers to use their washroom..but why not the public washroom??…Please …get the washroom back up working again…for the sake of our bladders….
