To HRM City Maintenance workers who’re dickin’ around with the water pipes. My water is brown and gritty, and my toilet sounds like an old man’s stutter. Do you know what you’re doing? OH, and thanks for forgetting to notify everyone in the neighbourhood you were doing maintenance (I’m quite sure it’s the law). —Facepalm

  1. hey, that’s my neck too!
wow, lots-o-pissed off fairviewians these days…
though I suppose that’s nothing new.

  2. Well, if we’re talking about skeezytown — they probably DID notify everyone, but literacy rates in Fairview are hovering around 1% so….

You need to move outside the urban bubble, OP. Sundays they’d flush the lines in the buttfuck town I lived in in the valley and OMFG you’d have brown water all day.

You couldn’t even run that water on a good day through a brita and drink it and there was so much chlorine in that shit that your whites turned green and your reds got all splotchy when you washed them.

I wouldn’t be complaining about hfx water, yo.

  3. I don’t think that you would like the answer that my hubby would give you lady. He works for said department, and the news is usually sent out a long time, beforehand. Must be you lack of attention that you didn’t get, or got, but not listened to, or read about it.
Anyhow, the water is still the same, just a different hue.Which is due to rust or oxidation of the piping. Consider yourself lucky to have water, some countries still don’t, and would kill to get it.

  4. Brown water and a stuttering toilet. Are you sure you’re not at the output pipe of the sewage treatment plant?

  5. it’s not hrm maintenance workers. It’s Halifax Regional Water Maintenance workers. A private Utility supplied to residence under agreement with HRM. They have a board of Commission which run it’s employees whom of which are not civil servents.
HRWC are the owners and operators of all the underground services which supply HRM’s civilians with their water and sewer needs.
If you have a problem with your water call the people who supply it not the property owners whom they do the work to their infrastructure on

  6. no idea, though I’m pretty sure those I know this happened to recently weren’t informed.
perhaps the building manager was and didn’t bother to let it be known.
he is a pretty big D-to-the-bizzag.

  7. How about this: when there is a WATER MAIN BREAK they cant give notice, dumbass. Nor can they control the amount of dirt that gets into said pipe until it is fixed. Lrn 2 logic. Herp. fucking. Derp.
