reading the headline about “ironic immigration”
leads me to my bitch

their is something to be said about our immigration system itself – to whom it would toss people like this out and leave people like my doctor here – who’s cultural background gives him some sort of free reign – or right to say any sexist comment he likes – and has dismissed all of my mothers complaints of pain to

“its psychosomatic- and all in your head”

but refuses to validate that her own mother was almost sent to a mental institute for her claiming of pain

– witch turned out to be lets guess … a tumor on her brain!

and passed away at the age my mother is now!!!
but no doc you wont- even look into it

– yes i understand doctor i am over weight and i DO need to loose a few pounds

but what are you doing to help me loose the weight?

laugh at me ?
tell my father to lock me in a close and not to feed me?

i guess all your time is valuable -i guess being a dick must be a very tireing job

no thanks to you I’ve lost 50lb! – all by myself
so shove that up your stethoscope and blow on it

no- on second thought i don’t really think this has anything to do with your culture

( although i wouldn’t be surprised why some people would be a little raciest after meeting you)

no the fact is – your just an asshole
and that has nothing to do with where you come from

just the horrible self loathing defecating little man you are

  1. You know, we DO have the choice of seeing the health provider of OUR choosing.. I know finding a new Dr can be a pain… Hell, when I retired from the military 7 years ago, I didn’t KNOW what I needed to do to find a new Dr..

Thank GOD for friends.. Do you have any? Ask your friends if they know a GOOD Dr who’s accepting new patients…

I’ve had a harder search for an Opthamologist, and an Internist, but they’re both specialities that are harder to find..

A GP (Family Dr) is easier Dr TO find… Usually if a Dr retires, (by experience), he/she will have referrals to a Dr who is “setting up shop” in a different medical center.. it might be in a different part of the city, but that’s the price you have to pay for a GOOD Dr..

A friend got me in to see my present Dr, and she’s the best!!

Don’t stay with a Dr who demeans you..

His opinion/diagnosis will be clouded regardless of whether you lost weight or not.. Oh and congrats on that also… I know what a difficult time diet/exercise can be… (no time/too much stress/job’s a bitch/etc)

  2. Get a new doctor. And your asshole doctor is still in fact a doctor, which the government gives extreme brownie points to when applying through Business Class(even if they unfortunately get dicked around with their qualifications being accepted). Capoeira studio instructors not so much, especially since they weren’t even trying through that program(refugees from Brazil? I could maybe buy that easier in the period from the sixties to the mid-eighties when it was a dictatorship).

Refugee class is for people in danger of being subjected to torture, unbearable opression, risk to life, etc.

  3. Trust me, OP, I’ve been to my fair share of doctors before I found my current GP, and there are some VERY shitty ones out there. There’s a clinic I go to when I have an urgent issue (my doc’s usually booked a week in advance) and while some of the doctors are cool there, there’s one who’s quite abrasive (female doctor). They’re all immigrant doctors at that clinic, and I’m thinking it might not be the fact that they’re immigrants but rather the fact that some doctors are just assholes, because the last doc I saw there is an immigrant and was quite a pleasant guy.

HOWEVER, one of their doctors gave a friend of mine an overdose of alesse instead of Plan B when she went in to get a prescription (apparently plan b is half the price when it’s prescribed and it’s covered under most drug plans that way). Plan B is known for causing stomach troubles, but an overdose of alesse makes you sick as a dog. I was with her when she went to the pharmacy to get the prescription filled and even the pharmacist called the doctor to confirm that’s what he wanted. Anyway, she spent the next day running back and forth to the bathroom at work to throw up. So I suspect he gave her that particular prescription to teach her a lesson of some sort. I know it taught me a lesson — I had to hold her hair a couple of times when she was barfing (which in turn made me want to toss my own cookies). Poor girl 🙁

  4. Change you doctors

“- yes i understand doctor i am over weight and i DO need to loose a few pounds but what are you doing to help me loose the weight? ”

    NEWS FLASH

Only YOU can loose your own weight don’t blame others no one can do it for you, BUT I do commend you on loosing 50lbs. Good Job.
