Ok Ok.. Parade of lights was wet, but fun none the less..

What was with a certain radio stations float? Two 14 year old looking little girls dressed in a school girl uniform dancing around on a stage by themselves?? Looked like a float for a strip club… there was a dead silence ..all around me when that went by, all the parents saying ” what the…”

  1. uh…yeah. sounds real spicy.i went to the parade of lights a few years ago and was sorely disappointed. it basically just seemed to be a bunch of xmas-light-festooned billboards on floats driving by. i was hoping for something more creative and less commercial. but what can you expect, really.

  2. Note to a certain strip club in Dartmouth: You may want to enter a float next year, then OP can see what a REAL strip club float looks like.

  3. I was also not impressed by that float.. especially since the 6yr old kid I was with asked me if she could be on that “dance” float next year. What I was more disturbed about was the completely LACK of church involvement with this parade. I realize that we’re becoming a more politically correct society, but the holiday is CHRISTMAS.. IE: Christ. Not 14yr old semi-strippers dancing on poles while some rapper plays non-holiday music for the masses…

  4. Kate, Christmas in modern days is not about religion any more, it’s about X-Box sales and spending money on absolutely everything in sight. I myself am Atheist, so I don’t get the whole “Christ” thing but it is awfully depressing that at a time of the year when we should be enjoying our friends and family we can’t because we’re jammed 10 deep in Walmart line-ups to buy the next big ticket item that somebody just has to have.

  5. I say if you do not believe in Christ then do not celebrate CHRISTmas. Go on about your business as usual. Christmas these days is such a shit-show.
