So, a beautiful day to take the dogs to Long Lake today. Walking along the shoreline, and since the waterline is the lowest I’ve seen it, I was completely disgusted with the amount of broken glass left by little douchebags thinking that smashing their beer bottles makes them “cool”. We live in a world where you can get mixed drinks, beer, wine, etc…in a can. Not only will you not lose any of your precious drug to breakage, you can fit way more cans in your cooler than bottles. Should I even bother to mention that alcohol/being under the influence of alcohol is prohibited in a provincial park? —SHITTY-D

  1. I frequently encounter the same thing at Birch Cove. Despite garbage cans every 100 yards. Maddening.

  2. Littering seems to be everywhere, laziness, ignorance and good old fashioned stupidity are to blame. Drinking beer out of a can, yuck! Bring back the stubbie bottles.

  3. I can only assume this was done by beach glass enthusiasts. Did you stop and pick some of it up? I’d have to say not because you just like to whine and complain online.

Nice one ZZZ- Imagine SHITman not being familiar with what is against the law. LMFAO

  4. Hey SHITman- Did you know smoking drugs is against the law? You are such a crybaby. I know your type, bug tough guy behind a keyboard all the time. But when something doesn’t go your way, its all, call the cops, CALL THE COPS- they’re breaking the law-THEY’RE BREAKING THE LAW.

    Go away little man.

  5. Ummmm….drugs are illegal everywhere, stupid. And yes, I did pick up the glass. I had no way to take it out so I rounded up what I could, dug a little hole, put it in there and covered it with a big rock that neither a child or dog would be able to move. But thanks for for your concern, and your stupidity is duly noted.

Also, it IS still illegal. Look it up, Sonic blip!!!!!!!!!!

  6. I will say this again for all you Sonic fans out there. I am not blip blip. I know I have little credibility. Harper please stop accusing me of being all the profiles you don’t like, your making yourself look stupid!

  7. Although it’s fun to laugh at people who blindly state “BUT IT’S THE LAW!!!”, Shitman is… *** GASP ***… correct. I visit Long Lake quite a bit and although it is a nice park it is also covered in litter (soooo many coffee cups), dog shit and broken glass. And it seems as though no one who camps or parties overnight in the park follows the “leave no trace” rule of backcountry camping. I always try to pick up some litter during my visits but it is not always feasible nor safe to pick up certain pieces of litter (like glass).

  8. There’s only 1 garbage can in the entire park, which stands to reason as it is provincial park reserve, a distant cousin of a managed provincial park.(the parking lot and garbage can are on HRM lands so that’s their problem)

  9. ^^ and hairy legs, don’t forget the hairy legs and plaid shirts. shit-d, bring the dog(s) out my way.

  10. Some of these cerebral virtuosoes are the same as the ones who yell at people from their cars.
I’ve sliced my feet on glass before at the beach. Jackasses break bottles at water’s edge at low tide, at high tide the glass is under three feet of water. Perfect hazard.
I’d love to drown the mofos.

  12. Are you psychos actually dogging SHITD for caring about a public park, used by MANY people, for being littered with glass making it very dangerous for pets to enjoy some fresh air and exercise? Wow. You are the most negative, life hating losers I’ve ever had the displeasure of reading. I shake my head and feel sorry for you.

  13. had to get one that showed all 3 now, although little jack is a bit cut off. gad, he is a sweetheart! i’ll start posting some vids on u/t
