Does anyone know what those triangle signs are at the end of on ramps….? It doesnt mean slow down to 50 which gives you right of way to enter the highway. READ THE HANDBOOK it means you yield right of way to those on the highway to even your lane. Use the little peddle to accelerate and plan a space to move intp safely and stop thinking you have the right to move in at 80km onto a highway and everyone must yield to you. —Me

this freaks me out too, why are you slowing down, why am i still in third?
sorry, i was reading merge sign, mainly because i was ranting about the differences in the 2 signs today. big difference
I think you’re wrong, OB. That sign means, as long as you put your blinker on , it’s ok to pull out in front of traffic at 40kms below the speed limit.
People are nervous when merging, they do not trust those with the right of way. That’s why they tend to slow down. As well, where the ramp touches the highway is usually not long enough to accomodate the effortless slipstreaming.
I’m not sure that OP knows what she is complaining about because the first half of her bitch sounds like a yeild lane . yet the rest of the bitch sounds like a merge lane.
Check your NS laws, on a legitimate merge, the driver in the left lane has a responsibility to give right of way to the merging traffic. Of course, the merger, is also responsible to be bring their vehicle to a safe merge speed.
you guys want a simple guideline? who ever gets to the dotted line first, should have right of way. That is what I do, most other drivers seem to have the same idea.
