After a couple of weeks of election promises AKA bullshit, who would like to place a bet and/or give odds on the following classic statement being issued?
“Now that we’ve had a chance to look at the books we’ve discovered that NS is in worse shape financially than promised and therefore we cannot deliver any of the above mentioned bullshit” or something similar? —Basil the Cynic

    The Con’s or the Lib’s …. Who for those of you with serious memory issues are the 2 Parties that are responsible for our massive debt problem in the first place
    & for those of you wearing the Ultra Thick rose coloured glasses. You should take some time & have looked into it. The increase in NS debt in the last 4 years is less than what the interest on that original debt they inherited was over that period
    We pay almost 700 million a year to our “welfare/medical/mental” assistance programs & almost the same amount to the bankers ‘The Blood Suckers’ bleeding us in interest on that debt. FYI the debt went up ,yes but less than the interest paid over the same period ! ! !
    Which for those a bit dense means ,it wouldn’t have if we didn’t have that massive interest payment in the first place
    So you give me a viable choice & I will pick them over the 3 we have to choose from, without another choice the NDP cannot be called worse than the other 2 who have a much longer track record of ripping us off !

    The slogans for all parties should be ‘yes, we’re lying fucks, but not as big a bunch of lying fucks like those other two’ I didn’t count the greens because, well, they don’t amount to a boil on a senators ball bag.

  11. I am voting against the NDP as after voting NDP for 30+ years, and they finally get in, they became what they promised they wouldn’t…

    None of the parties are viable options. Stephen McNeil takes a liberal opinion on pot so he’ll get my vote.

My all time wish is that one of the lying sacks of shit will finally drag NS into the 21st Century and admit that we (the taxpayers) are mature enough to buy hooch at the corner stores, Sobey’s, SS or Walmart. They will shit can the overpaid union lackeys in the stores, and probably turn them into bus drivers as they already have the surlier than thou look on their puss.

I actually contribute money to my party of choice, so they were pretty unhappy about that.

    I like JT’s ideas nationally, and my own L candidate’s locally. ( he supports the earl gray party too)

    I’ve been looking for reasons to vote against them, but everyone I ask does not have specific reasons, they just have a general impression.

    If bozo of the blue Party, as their top top chimp gets in & actually does freeze power rates, the power will be going out !
    YOU CAN’T FREEZE RATES WHEN THE Government HAVE GIVEN THEM A LEGAL 9%+ profit allowed each year , so services/upkeep … something will have to be sacrificed to keep that profit margin up if the rates are frozen….. You can’t stay in business spending more than you take in I know this to be a FACT . BECAUSE I OWN & RUN A BUSINESS !
    One thing that I really did enjoy about the NDP being in , is some of the most careless crooked pieces of garbage AKA elected MLA’s got flung & actually convicted for theft.
    It IMO didn’t go far enough or deep enough to catch & rid us of even more of them & should have been checked back over the last 25 years . & the penalties were absolutely dismal, proving at least for Gov elected officials , crime does pay !
    I wish we had a system like the USA…where we could also have the choice of a write in on our ballots.
    I’d even happily vote for someone’s cat like they did in Alaska, when no one liked any of the candidates. I’d come to this site & if everyone was voting for say Petty Kitty’s cat , I would as well . & some of you regulars know how I feel about cats, well lets just say if the only choice I had was while driving my truck at high speed & I had a split second choice to make run over some mangy cat or a half dozen politicians….the cat would be perfectly safe !
