I am so god-dammed tired of supporting those people who are totally capable of putting in an honest day of work but CHOOSE NOT TOO! For Christ sakes people, why do you feel the world revolves around you, and that those of us who actually DO get up everyday and go to work owe YOU a paycheque???
I hate opening up my cheque stub every 2 weeks, to see the amount of taxes that are taken off me to support these fuckin’ bums…..it’s honestly depressing. Sometimes I go home and cry.
I’m not bitching about those who are disabled and physically can’t get up and go to work everyday, just those who are too god-dammed LAZY to do it, and suck their money off the working public every month.
Then I see them with a smoke hanging out of their mouth, and 7 kids in tow…..give me a friggin’ break!!! You made the kids, go out, get a job & SUPPORT THEM YOURSELF!!!
I know, I’m gonna get some people who are gonna reply with “You should be happy you have a full-time job”, but please…..I don’t enjoy giving my money away every 2 weeks to bums who refuse to get up and go to work!!

I’ve believed for decades that the fucking welfare system should be overhauled – like you, Molly, I’m sick and tired of supporting people who don’t deserve it.Two examples: My oldest friend is well-educated and had a very high paying, high profile job in the early 90s. When it got all too much for her, she ditched her whole life to go on welfare – yes, she made that choice to use the system because she knew how. Nevermind that it destroyed her husband, screwed up her kid when she left them – she didn’t want to answer to anyone anymore. Maturity issue? You bet. But here’s the kicker. She’s still on welfare after ten years. No, she hasn’t got enough money to buy food so she lets her male ‘friends’ she makes along the way do that for her – they bring her goodies and booze, all for a price, I’m sure. My point is that she is perfectly able bodied but still uses every excuse in the world to why she can’t work. She will not let go of her victim mentality, everyone is to blame but her. Aside from that, she claims it’s not worth going back to work because welfare will claw back anything she makes. So there she goes sucking up our tax money, sitting around all day without a fucking care in the world. She no longer contacts me because she knows how stronglyI feel about her situation.Then there’s my sig other’s niece. This little psycho popped out three kids by three different fathers before she was 22 and used her welfare checks to drink, snort coke and play the slots at the local bar. When authorities were finally called, she and the kids suddenly pissed off to Alberta but not before collecting thousands of dollars from the government.Sadly, there’s also my friend who had recently a stroke and had no choice but to go on welfare. He receives a grand total of $500 a month to pay for everything. I certainly don’t mind my tax money helping him but I sure as hell resent anyone sucking off an overburdened system and thinking it’s a big, fucking joke.Molly, like yourself, I want to see the right people helped but it’s time Community Services checked their clients more closely to make sure such abuse is cut off at the knees.
