Please take off your handsfree telephone thing when you are in public, (i.e. in a restaurant.) You look ridiculous.

  1. Couldn’t agree more with you, RDE. This is even worse than the cell phone on the belt. *shudder*

  2. I always have a sudden violent urge to go and smash the person in the side of the head when I see them wearing one! Now I am all for the hands-on-wheel while driving but the people that walk around in a mall or on the street with it deserve the tap upside the head…and it’s always the same kind of people wearing them too…compensating for something….

  3. Now you got me missing rotary dial phones. While I’ve noticed many people using headsets while driving, it still hasn’t stopped the fucking morons who primp their hair and do make-up. One behind me yesterday has both fucking hands engaged so she must have been steering the car with her tits.As far as the idiots that wear them outside the car: doesn’t that just scream: LOOK AT ME! I’M IMPORTANT!!! Yeah, right. Maybe to you and only you.

  4. Makes me love my BlackBerry Pearl and its rather nice headset that doubles as headphones for its mp3 player. At least I don’t look like a douche. Now if my boss could figure out how to forward his employee’s emails I’d be justified in owning the thing.

  5. at least buy a quality headset, yelling into the mike (let’s face it, there is a great deal of psychology happening here..) and sharing the details of your life we at large do not want to know, make you look like a twat.I assume that you are not actually connected to anyone, and the girl beside you assumes your package is inversely proportional to your volume. give that a minute’s thought..or in your cases, two.oddly enough these types always seem to be alone. I wonder what’s up with that?

  6. I yearn for the days not just before cell phones, but before telephones altogether. I think they’re one of the most anti-social inventions. I mean, there are two people in a room say, having a conversation. The phone rings, not so much as a thought is given to actually ignoring it and continuing your conversation, and suddenly ONE of the people is having a conversation the other person can’t hear and isn’t allowed to comment on. I would throw all my phones out if I could, with my TV right behind them… once Lost is off the air, of course.

  7. i recall Bell’s rationale being with the advent of cell phones, the need for convient phones has declined but the cost of maintaining and operation hasnt ….. hence the need to increase revenue.

  8. Yeah, that BlueTooth thing sticking out of their heads looks Ghey. The thought has popped in my head to hit people with these things. But fuck it, I’d be hitting people all day every day if I decided to start hitting people that seem like idiots. I’d even have to punch my self in the face once in a while.

  9. I always picture Lando Calrissian’s aide in Cloud City when I see bluetooth sets….I wonder how far away we are from actually getting these things surgically attached to our heads.
