You complain about transit, but do you know what the other side is like? Maybe you hate your job and want something different. You know you’re curious to see exactly what this place is like, or why drivers seem to be early/late. You want to put your money where your mouth is. Hopefully, you want to do your small part to improve transit. If so, they’re now hiring. Apply via the HRM website by 10/31. You know you want to. It’s not what you think, or maybe it is.

  1. I would apply but I dont have a cell phone and and i-pod to bring along with me so I will just have to stay on welfare.

  2. I would love to work for Metro Transit!!For one, they are apart of a union! Two, they are making something rediculous like $25 an hour (not saying its not well worth it, I’ve seen some of the crazy shit these drivers go through! On my bus travels, I’ve seen a nose get broken, a driver punched in the head, an argument between the driver and someone who didnt have the correct fare to get back to jail!!!) I couldnt do it, thats for DAMN sure!!!I wouldnt want to DRIVE the bus.. But I wouldnt mind a nice office job! Holllaaaa!! I seen them advertising on the HRM website for the HRM call center, to start $19/hr! but it was only temporary relief for ONE year.. I need something a little more permanent!

  3. Metro transit drivers have it easy, they can be rude to passengers, be as late as they want and blame it on traffic even though it is the middle of the day or evening, bring their friends and or horny spouses to travel with them and block the doorway, they are paid too much an hour and still grumble they are allowed to talk on a cell phone while driving or play their i-pod and text message while driving, eat giant cookies while driving and smack gum in your face. THEY HAVE BREAKS TO DO ALL OF THIS FOOLISHINESS. Oh and I forgot they dont seem to have any supervisors.
