On the way home from a depressing day in the library (I’m a grad student at Dal) I came upon a Down Syndrome fellow looking at a poster on a pole who seemed to be oblivous to his friends calling him from across the street to get a move on so I walked with him across the road and they were reunited. It was a very friendly group so I walked with them to my turnoff and when I left the fellow gave me a very lovely hug. A total surprise but very heart warming.
—Needed the hug.
