Thanks to the city for the new bike lanes on South Park street. As a cyclist it is an appreciated step in a good direction. I am however baffled by the number of pedestrians who use the lanes as an extension of the sidewalk to saunter down or stand in to chat it up. Three times already I’ve rung my bell, bellowed to please move and last time had to stop entirely.
This is not just drunks but stupid people on the loose during the day .Speaking of stupid people and South Park, why would someone EVER hurl beer bottles off their balcony onto the street.
Not only did this damage my bike, ever think about small kids or dogs walking down the street.

They hurl beer bottles for the same reason they hurl eggs — reduce, reuse, recycle.
Not that im anti bike or anything. But I see bikes riding on the sidewalk everyday. So I guess…payback time mother fucker
There are some piss-poor attitudes.Perhaps mention it to the authorities. That will also give them something easy to do. Ticket pedestrians for being in the bicycle lane.Might actually make a difference.
I like to drive my car in the bike lanes just to piss off the banzai bicyclists that populate this burg.
I wouldn’t randomly throw a bottle onto the street, unless I was trying to hit someone.
