This province is a joke! A walk-in clinic should be walk-in. We have to call to make an appointment at 8am, wait on hold for 20 mins while the “secretary” keeps two people on hold (so no one else can call to bug them) only to find out there are no appointments left for the day. So then you can walk your ass down there, only to wait for 3 hours while other people get in before you. This should be first come first serve! —FML with no L to F

Fuck you, it’s free.
try family focus, or the clayton park one, by shoppers drug mart. they are deffinately walk ins.
i know how you feel about doctors and shit o.p., just like the emerg., there’s a laugh for you.
why do they call it an emergeny clinic, if you have to take a number, then an area, then sit and wait for anywhere from 2 to 24 hours for emergency treatment.
was in there a couple years ago, with a friend, and it took no less than 9 hours to get to see anyone. was i fucking pissed by then. i love their little wheel, that tells you how long you have to wait, before you die.the colors are sposed to represent those in dire need, medium nedd, and the red, are for those who died, while waiting to get seen. even the security guards laughed at that, when i pointed it out.
needless to say, 15 minutes later, we were seen and on our way again.and yes, it was for a real emergency too. throwing up blood, lots of it, not me, but the friend.
I can honestly say I praise Family Focus.
They’ve saved me quite a few times…
Sounds like you should apply for American citizenship. You’ll wait just as long and pay through the friggin’ nose.
I was in the Emergency Room, with a friend, two Saturdays ago. It turns out that no Dr was on duty between the hours of 2-6am. How fucked is that? They don’t tell you this, they just let you sit and wait like an asshole. We only found out because the Dr she saw, accidentally, let it slip. If I were ill and knew there was no Dr to see, I think I would rather be home in bed than sitting in those shitty chairs, watching Jersey Shore. (Which is what we did)
They have to take appointments because lots of people in this city don’t have a family doctor or can’t wait to see one and must get in to be evaluated that day. Don’t get pissed off at them because they beat you to the punch (isn’t that the first come first serve you were talking about??)
Family Focus in Clayton Park is great!!! I go there to do my blood work and it’s $12 but a 15 min wait instead of waiting 2 hours at the Cobequid.
Also the walk-in in Hammonds Plains is amazing, they have labs there to check the blood work and everything!!!
You have to wait so long in an emergency room because most of the people that are there aren’t in any sort of ’emergency’ situation.
And the prize goes to melectric. Emergency should be just that, EMERGENCY. Unless you can’t breathe, have body parts fall off, unbearable pain or bleeding profusely then stay the fuck away. Your stuffy nose or hangnail doesn’t count.
..health care system is fucked, old peeps are clogging it up with their weekly visits.. hey old person..yep same as last week you’re still old and there’s no cure now stay the fuck home ..not to mention welfare mothers with there malnourished babies with the sniffles
OP, don’t waste your time with Walk In Clinics. Make a few calls to doctor’s offices and find out which ones are accepting new patients, and then book your appointment.
The walk in clinic where I go people register to see the doctor. So if you are seeing people go ahead of you that means they signed up before you. Its also not first come first served they also will take those in need of medical attention the most first if needed. Think of this if you are in need of that situation you might be more tolerant.
