New Brunswick has the concerts and are connect to the mainland, you are in shit fuck nowhere. You’re politicians SUCK (you wish you had Danny Williams), you’re people SUCK (you wish you were as quaint as PEI) and you’re culture SUCKS. Everything you have here you can get in another province. And for better prices. it’s about time for you people to realize that you are NOT Toronto but at the same time you are NOT Newfoundland. Here’s what you do have, a pretty harbour (which you dumped shit in for years, took you long enough to clean it up,) nice beaches (but it cost over a $100 a night to stay near one of them) and a beautiful valley that Tourism has decided to forgo for Halifax and Cape Breton.

Much of this Bitch doesn’t make sense.Last time I checked, Nova Scotia was connected to the mainland.NS has plenty of lobsters. Nobody actually knows where Cabot first landed. Most agree it was Cape Bonavista – it makes the most sense; but some say it may have been as far south as Maine.And if anything NS is trying desperately NOT to be like NL. It’s not progressing very well – it’s just too small – but it wants badly not to be lumped in with “quaint” provinces. It’s pretty tired of being painted with the same “hick” brush as the other Atlantic stereotypes.In any case, I can understand you wanting to leave. Many do; a lot feel the place is progressing too slowly. NL’s economy has improved a lot, so perhaps this is the right time for you to go back?
I don’t think anyone wishes they had Danny Williams. Danny Williams is a goon who owes his political career to his rabid determination to further establish an “us versus them” mentality that already had a huge foothold in that province. He’s at his most popular when he’s declaring war on someone who’s trying to deny something (whether real or imaginary) to Newfieland, and when he gets what he asks for, it’s not enough.I’m no psychic, but I predict Newfieland’s economic improvements will prove to be very, very fleeting, and what they’ll be left with is even more bitterness for them to wallow in. But then again, isn’t that what they want?
I always get a kick out of hearing Newfs talk about how much better good ole Sin Jahn’s is than Halifax. It makes me question whether they have even been to Sin Jahn’s, cuz I sure didn’t see anything there that rocked my world. If you kept Dartmouth and Bedford and deleted most of Halifax and Lower Sackville, you’d have Sin Jahn’s. Just a typical small shabby East Coast city perched on the cold bare rocks. Which is fine, really – nothing wrong with it at all. Just nothing special. All they ever have to offer is “George St.” So fucking what.So why are they all fucking here?? And they move home because they hate it here so much. And within a year they’re back here again.
