Waiting in Limbo…
It’s irritating enough to have to wait at the various Superstore parcel pickup areas for sometimes up to fifteen minutes before a clerk will clue in that there’s someone there. However, my real beef is with the fucking morons that use that area to wait

The parcel pickup people have alot of other things to do and only have two feet and a heartbeat, so take your fucking groceries out yourself, lazyass!!
I agree that people park at the wrong places when running in for a quick purchase or waiting for someone, but I also believe that the stores themselves are to blame for this. Nobody wants to park 100 yards from the door to go get a loaf of bread. The problem lies with the amount of “reserved” spaces being put in parking lots. I understand and support the need for handicap spaces, but come on now…no store needs more than 4 or 5 of these spots. And don’t get me started on the “expectant mother or mother with child” spaces…that’s a crock of shit if ever I heard one. If you can’t walk to the door from a normal parking spot, you shouldn’t be shopping. Next to these spaces, no doubt you will see the “taxi stand” spots, which in my opinion belong over in a corner of the lot somewhere away from paying customers where we don’t have to walk past the cabbies and there second hand smoke. What will we see next…fat people parking? No need I guess since fat people can qualify as handicapped and get parking passes, which is another subjet altogether. So, I feel for you and your dilemma, but just like you feel you shouldn’t have to carry out your groceries because you are a paying customer, I feel we shouldn’t have to walk the length of a parking lot for a litre of milk…because we too are paying customers.
Hey, HC, did it ever fucking occur to you that there’s a reason for the existence of parcel pickup? It has nothing to do with laziness, you stupid twat, it has to do with having a service that’s the shits, not to mention fucked up by the number of stunned buttheads waiting for their fat, stupid wives in a space clearly not alloted for them.
HC is right. Parcel pickup people have a lot of other things to do as well including keeping the grocery carts stocked inside the store for shoppers’ convenience while dodging cars (that are always in a hurry) in the parking lot. They also are charged with the task of NOT allowing people to idle in their cars (with motors running and spewing exhaust) in fire lanes. In addition they are the cleanup people that have to pick up the messes people leave in the isles while shopping. Parcel pickup should be reserved only for people who are elderly and shopping alone and CANNOT carry their groceries to their cars or people that are shopping with babies in tow. Not for yuppies on rainy days.
Can’t agree more. Parcel pickup has so many things to do, people are lucky that its a service that still exists. It should exist so that older people and people with kids can use it…but if you’re perfectly able carry your goddamned groceries out yourselves. Parcel Pickup is seriously responsible to: clean up messes, retrieve items stupid customers forgot/couldn’t find, clean bathrooms, clean floors, collect carts/baskets, run errands for the cash office and cashiers, take perishables back to where they belong when stupid customers decide at the cash that they no longer want them…often there is only one parcel pick up person working. At times there are as many as 4. If there are 3 it generally means that the store is expected to be very busy and if need be, they are going to throw up to two of them on cash at a time…Its a hard job that no one appreciates. Everyone assumes they’re dumb or useless high school students. And to comment on the fat heads that park in the parcel pick-up lane…fuck off and park in a parking space. you fuckers cause accidents!
