I ran the 10K today with my husband and we couldn’t have done it without all of you. To the volunteers dressed as pirates you made me smile when my insides wanted to burst. To those who helped organize, those who handed out water (and Gatorade) and the volunteers just cheering us on. You made our day! It truly was a wonderful event. —First timer looking forward to next year

Hee hee, glad you had a pirating cheering crowd and such. That’s great that you and your husband participated together in this. It takes commitment and training to run the 10k and it’s even more exhilarating when it is shared with your other half. Congrats to the both of you and the OP above. Good job, well done!

I’d like to second this love… it was my first, and so rewarding. LOVE to the volunteers and to everyone along the route who clapped and cheered in encouragement!
Huge thank you to all the volunteers! My first time running a half marathon and I wouldn’t have survived without the water stations, cheering, and general happiness. For those of you who read my name on my bib and called out to me even if you didn’t know me, thank you! I did notice and appreciate it 🙂
