Ever notice how Canadian change doesn’t work in US vending machines, but US change does work in Canadian vending machines, parking meters, bridge baskets, etc? This is due to how historically the US dollar has always for the most part been higher than the loonie and these things are manufactured with this in mind. I know it sucks for a lot of people for the most part including me that the Canadian dollar is so high especially for tourism and people trying to export Canadian goods competitively. I know that 3 cents on the dollar isn’t a lot but I still get a nice warm feeling when I unload my US change into these things. —Sticking it to the man 3 cents at a time
