So, yesterday afternoon just after sundown I made my way to the bus stop to wait for the bus. Imagine my excitement when I saw the bus approaching the stop ON TIME. I removed my bus ticket from my pocket, stepped closer to the road, turned off my Ipod… and watched as the bus barreled past me! I waved my arms to no avail and watched it continue on down the street!
So what was the response of the next bus driver when I explained what had happened? That bus drivers should slow down when approaching bus stops at night time? That bus stops should be better lit? Oh, it was quite simple really; I should carry a white plastic bag with me so that I could flag down the buses at night time. Apparently I was too dark to be seen at night and was therefore not visible.

Was it the 14 on Oxford after South St? I stopped using that bus stop because the same thing happened to me several times there.

I had that kind of happen to me. I’m used to waiting for everyone else to get on the bus first and so when I was alone once, the bus almost went right on by because I didn’t ‘move a muscle’ while it was approaching.
I’ll also let you know you can barely understand her english, but she sounds damn good singing whatever it is. 🙂
Yet another bus-bitch. Funny how people don’t complain about their cars driving out of their driveways without them in the mornings.

This forum is for ranting about things that bug you. The OP’s that is, not the commenters. Complaining to Transit does no good, so coming here to vent gets it off a persons’ chest for the moment. My time in England where I lived in the only town with shitty transit service taught me to step into the road and wave my arms at the bus as it approaches so that they can’t help but see you- I do it all the time outside the base to flag down the 60, even though it’s the only bus that goes past there, I don’t trust the 60 to stop for me unless I actively take action to catch the driver’s attention. Sorry to hear about your crappy bus experience OP, I hate it when that happens :s
The Unseen are actually one of my favorite bands. They were on Rancid’s Hellcat records for two albums and had done a ton of minor releases prior to that. As of late, the band is inactive and have no plans on returning to the studio.
I am upset, but have Rancid’s new studio album coming out later this year if its not delayed again.
Coincidentally, Tim Armstrong has the new Transplants album to promote. Amazingly the guy is going to do a double tour playing with both bands for a 10 day tour.
He is a hero of mine and an idol.
