I am disgusted at the number of people who stood for songs like “Welcome to the Jungle,” during the Guns N Roses concert and then stayed in their seats for the National Anthem! Kudos to those of you who realized 4 or 5 minutes in what they were playing

Why do you have to stand up during the anthem? Why do you have to take your hat off? What the hell does it matter what someone’s doing? If you’re standing and and I’m sitting but we’re both at attention, what’s the diff? So does standing up make a person more patriotic than someone else? It’s all nonsense. Don’t go shoving your ideas on anyone/everyone. There are plenty of ways to be patriotic. Standing isn’t the only way.
It’s not nonsense. It’s about respect, and your attitude goes to show the negative direction that our thinking is going. Just stand up. We’re not asking for prayer in schools. JUST STAND UP.
I agree totally, I was there and the lack of disrespect was unbelievable.I couldnt beleive the amount of people still sitting. When we go to The Mooseheads game everyone stands up for the anthem. Why not at a concert? especially when an American is plaing our anthem for us!!!! Come on now.
Why don’t we all just march at attention while we’re at it? Sitting & standing shouldn’t make a diff. If you’re both quiet and paying attention then it doesn’t matter. Please, someone explain to me what standing up has to do with being patriotic? Why don’t you go buy a bunch of flags and actually do something instead of just standing around.
Do you expect more from people who would actually spend $70 to see Axl Rose 15 years after his last CD?
Um, yeah…it makes plenty of difference. It’s called respect. Look into it.
Do us a favour and tell us the respect portion of it.
