Dear Resteraunt I frequent atleast once a week,
You recently restaffed. I am nto sure why and frankly it is none of my business. What is my business is that since the restaffing, I have had nothing but bad service. Your staff takes reservations it cannot keep, We have to wait 30 minutes after being seated to place a drink order, the waiters ask us if we want the bill while we are still eating our main skipping over the desert option altogether. I am unhappy with the service I am recieving. If I find out my server has moved onto another resteraunt, I will be switching very rapidly.

Usually, a complete restaff overhaul means new management…. EXCEPT this time of year when all the servers get done exams and go back to their home cities, counties, provinces, countries, etc.

I agree with *@%$ 100% even if you get shitty service, find hair in your meal and end up drinking two cups of left over coffee poured into one cup you really need to tip. I generally give about 20 – 30% to shitty servers and 90 – 120% to the good ones. I find that it’s really hard to find bad service in Halifax. Every place I go to seems to get better and better every time. Just the other day I was at this “mom and pop” place…. McRonnies or something and the server, who I assume was their granddaughter, actually called me “Sir”…. really.. I nearly shat myself. someone young as 25 showing off their manners like that. They are sure getting my business again.

I do love the fact that they take the menus away and ask if you you want the bill while you’re half way through you first order.
Oh ya, at a place in downtown that has a side of fire, you’re only allowed to have one drink. Once you order the first drink, they take the menu for you never to see it again!

If the service is that bad, express it to management something like “I really enjoyed this place and came on a regular basis, but I am finding that their is really bad service here now, and until the service improves will no longer be coming here.” No body to blame for the rising epidemic in shitty customer service except for the customers who keep coming back and put up with it. If these facilities weren’t getting customers, well, they are going to do something to improve.
on another note though, everyone has a bad day and you never know what’s going on in someones life, so don’t be one of them douches that starts yelling and treating the server’s like shit..I hate seeing that shit.

It’s poor reasoning for a server to take the drink card, because a menu left = a greater chance at more drinks ordered = a greater chance at a (larger) tip. When I’m forced to ask for it, I tell the server he/she is an idiot…with my mind.

A few places I go to occasionally are always filled with nothing but Asian people, anytime I step in the door everyone (staff and patrons) stops what they are doing and stares at me for 30 seconds, kind of strange but funny
