What’s worse is that the feds treat this end of the country like a festering asshole. I sympathize with you having to go thru all that bureaucratic bullshit.
I am 7 months pregnant with a baby with a really bad heart defect and haven’t been able to work since the end of February. So I go into my lovely EI office to establish a claim on money I have been paying in for over 11 years and they tell me it will be 6 weeks before I see a dime. Well after waiting 3 weeks to get my ROE from my company, I take it into them the end of March and call today only to be told I have to wait another 3 weeks mimimum to see any money. Yet they are making me claim the $118 I received in March from vacation pay on my first payment. That is more than 2 months without any coin. How the fuck do they expect people to live on nothing while they take their sweet time processing a claim that probaby takes them a day to complete. Just call me broke, hungry and knocked up in Halifax.
I had a horrible encounter with EI back in 2004. Some of them are absolute cold-blooded bastards! Are you listening, **, you fire-breathing dragon who did whatever you could to deny my benefits and caused me untold hardship? You know who you are, and you are the epitome of a rottweiler-pitbull-rattlesnake melee. The money wasn’t coming off your paycheck, you fucking bitch! But, your cruelty and insensitivity caused me to lose my credit rating and it put me in such a hole that I’m still struggling to pay off two years later. Remember, what goes around comes around!
