ummm, errr….did our PM just suspend Democracy again? Like is he doing it cuz he needs more time off to pick out better sweaters….get a neater haircut….or maybe wait ’til things cool down a bit over Afghan detainees and suspend some committees while he’s about it? Smells of a rotting 3rd world banana republic to me…..heil Harper!!!!!!

If you checked your records, assuming you keep any; the Liberals have done the same, only more times.
The alternative to Mr. Harper would be; Ignattieff, who is just visiting and for who the knives are already being sharpened – same scenario as was done to Dion.
And my favourite lapdog, Taliban supporter, professional politician, left wing “I’ll say anything” Layton.
i guess he thinks its his prerogueative..and to hell with asking permission..
if the rest of the country has to go back to work after the holidays, so should they..otherwise, don’t pay them a dime..how could anyone support this? get yer arses back to work..there’s so much work to be done..
Hating Steven Harper is the new black! At least it was a few years ago.
What ever happened to “Harper’s going to criminalize homosexuality and ban abortions!” Oops, never happened, better find something new and half-true to criticize him for.
in canada,WHAT THE FUCK IS DEMOCRACY?
Exactly Life Sucks.
I seen a blog where someone said about the Political Party system…”no matter how many there are, its like a bunch of puppets. Each one a tiny bit different & all of them controled by the same puppet master.” I’m not trying to be a New World Order control type here
BUT
When you see the same kind of problems happening? especially the “We’re Always Broke Card” no matter what Party’s running things year after year…decade after decade… How can you not see this, as being no new ideas…no different focus, same old same old Bullshit?
I think we should all be more like Quebec…there is nothing better than a little separatist fear to make the government fucking listen for a change. What I don’t get is that we all think that we wouldn’t be able to survive as individual countries, most of our provinces are the size of 2 or 3 European countries. Yes our population density is not even 25% of those countries but if each province was free to set it’s own tax policy then we would have people (and companies) moving here in droves. Heck we could nationalize and sieze all of the foreign owned land and start a whole new homestead rush. Come live in NS and get a small parcel of free land of your own! With micro-wind generators getting cheaper by the day and an abundant lumber industry, heating and basic power needs could be met completely off grid. Most of the new comers would not be used to “needing” 3 tv’s etc so the per-household electrical needs could easily be handled by some solar panels and a half dozen mini windmills. Reopen all of the mines, reinvest in our lumber industry and max NS a tax haven…exponential growth would be positively unavoidable.
Good points, Der?. I’d just sooner move to Montreal though. 😛
Another plus about moving to Montreal? It’s a Kaytard-free zone! ; )
