Watched the budget after work today…waiting to hear some new, master plan that they developed when they were prorogued…watched the leprechaun talk in big generalities…same stuff from last year, just an update. Waited some more for the new stuff to come out. The master plan.
Still waiting. Perhaps the only way to see a new budget will be to get a new government? Just saying. —Wanting More from Our Government

I wonder how exciting the OB’s budget is? It’s a fucking budget! I have not, nor probably anyone else, has ever seen an exciting budget anywhere.
I dunno… the commercials for budget rent-a-car can be entertaining…
what federal budget, you mean the money they take out of all us poor fools, so that they, the crooks in power, can take all their trips and shit with. fuck me, these dudes are fucking rife with corruption. and not one that i can see, is against it. sure, they might say they are, but look how big the trough has been getting every fucking year. what, 56 billion so far this year, and growing daily. time to have a major fucking coup.
I think the big plan is to change the lyrics to O Canada… that will solve our financial dire straits faster than you can say Fuhrer Harper…
LIFE SUCKS FOR PRIME MINISTER!
LIFE SUCKS FOR PRIME ASSHOLE!!!
to be a political figure is just to be a crook who gets to walk free and not spend all their days behind bars. The amount of wasted $$’s the gov’t shits down the drain each year could be allocated to many useful programs or towards paying off the deficit.
heaven forbid that any gov’t run operation could actually run a surplus of there allotted budget, but oh no, gotta spend it since its there…
I was hoping for some breaks since I plan on buying a house this year. So far, looks like the Gov’t is trying to screw me on that too.
Not to call out anyone here (since I obviously don’t know you or how you spend your time) but I tend to find that the ones who complain the loudest about ‘those crooks stealing our money’ etc etc tend to be the ones least informed and/or involved with government in the first place. Don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty mucked up in our system, and I was gritting my teeth through the whole budget story, but the whole basis of our democratic society is that informed and involved people can change what’s going on at the top.
Not that I’m *actually* that involved (yes, I am lazy…), but I adjust my complaint level accordingly…
Thank God, no more give aways.
Good news on the TSE for all of you public sector employees, your pension plan is not under water as much as it was a year ago.
Bank shares up strongly. HRM folk are paying 11% of salary into their plan and hoping not to see it increasing.
If Harpo Marx just stays out of the way and doesn’t go off on some crazy spending scheme from Iggy or Jacj we should be OK.
And all you about to graduate students, the low interest rates will make your student loan paybacks a lot easier to swallow.
