Longest Koala. The Koala is something not normally associated with length, in fact it is a fairly squat animal. This eucalyptus munching, arboureal, herbivorous, sloth-like marsupial is, at least to me, not the animal that would elicit excitement and anticipation.
It is a symbol of Australia and perhaps the object of OL’s affection is an Aussie.
You also mention it’s longest front to back. If something is longest in the front, doesn’t it stand to reason that it’s longest in the back? Unless it’s something wedge-shaped that has one side and the bottom equal lengths but the back slopes at a 90 degree angle from the top edge of the front to the back edge of the bottom.
