I am a grade eleven student at Halifax West High school. I have never seen a school a school of clique-y, judgemental, ignorant, immature people in my life. You’re an idiot, don’t you ever talk to me like that again, or you’re going to get your’s someday. You’re greasy, an attention seeker and think you are the high school celebrity, when we already have enough of those assholes roaming the school (West football team) .

Not to mention, a particular teacher who I have and is a fucking bitch. I’m taking an Advanced English class, where the teacher seems to favour all the kids who think they know everything, but little intelligence shows when all they used is the word ‘like’ to describe everything. I’m tired of this teacher picking on me for pointless reasons, when others may do the same as me, but she won’t yell at them. She yells in my face and always seems to find a way to get mad at me.

  1. I swear some teachers are in it for the money and the summers off. I feel badly for you – her behavior is far from professional. Just remember that you’re going to meet assholes like that all through your life and now is the time to start dealing with it. If you are responding to her in anything but a calm, even voice, you might be setting off this head case. The calmer you are and the more she screams, the more she’ll look like an idiot. But that takes a lot of self control on your part. The good news? One day all this will be a distant memory and you won’t even remember the bitch’s name.

  2. Oh, yeah, about the cliques – most the ‘in’ people I went to school with turned out to be fat housewives or losers. Just do your own thing and ignore the stupid twats.

  3. Trust me your preaching to the choir Don’t worry yourself over the snobby bitchy preps who think the world revolves around them. Its often true sometimes I think teachers want to be in high school forever. I have teachers like that as well who love these people who act smart but are really stupid but use like in every like sentence like godd LOL Just know that you’ll be doing something useful someday while they get fat and bald.

  4. lol… try going to Charles P. Allen and then talk to me about cliques and people looking down their nose at you. I’m ten years removed from that shit hole and laugh my ass off every time I hear someone say how they miss this days. You couldn’t pay me enough to go back to that shit. The story changes when you hit university. You find a lot more quality people when you get to that point and most of these people you can’t stand now will be the exact same arseholes in ten years trying to relive their “glory days”. Just put on a salesman’s smile and keep your head in the books. You’ll be a lot better off for it in the end.

  5. Sounds like High School hasn’t changed too much after all. Remember that teachers are people too, unfortunately, that means some are awesome and some are _________.

  6. High school is a rite of passage – it sucked mightly for a lot of people, including moi. When I was asked to go to my high school reunion a few years back, I don’t know which was louder: my snort of disgust or the hysterical laughter that followed.

  7. I can’t add much to this, HSB, except to totally agree with you, and all the posters above.I met more than one teacher in junior high and high school who wasn’t fit to show his/her face at a place of learning. They’re morons; survive the class, get a decent grade and dismiss this woman from your mind. The idiots who exclude you or treat you like dirt because they don’t think you’re good enough are not worth one millisecond of consideration. Most of them will be long gone by the time you’ve decided where your life should go.Best advice I can give you: don’t sweat this crap. Pick up the education, prepare yourself for what comes next, and let these pissants wallow in their stupidity without you. They are irrelevant in the long term.

  8. Keep your head held high, keep taking those advanced classes, and remember there are good students (and teachers) in your school, who like yourself, understand the craziness that is your high school. :)Does the Halifax West Youth Health Centre have anyone you could get together with and beef about what’s up? Hope the responses here help lift your spirits a bit. 🙂
