When walking alone during the day downtown I’m constantly being “run” off the sidewalk by people walking toward me in pairs. As a test I’ve even held my pavement and had a woman walk right into me, as if I’d been invisible up to that moment. It’s a two lane sidewalk OK? I’m not going to climb a snowbank so you don’t have to pause in your conversation long enough to pass by without decking me.

Half is only fair, right?

  1. I fall victim to this type of behavior all the time. So I decided not to jump out of the way. Guess what? I ended up locking shoulders with the fella. Have some common courtesy, you bunch of asses who think there shit don’t stink.

  2. Amen. This was one of the first things I noticed after moving to this city. How’s that east coast hospitality? I don’t move off the sidewalk anymore, but I still walk with one foot on the edge and hardly a day goes by when I don’t put my shoulder into some clown. boggles my mind.
