If I owned a coffee shop or fast food restaurant I would give the staff permission to yell out “Next!” whenever someone walked up to the counter with a phone up to their ear. It’s just plain rude to be trying to carry on an unrelated phone conversation and order at the same time. Not to mention slowing down the line! —Chairman Meow

I would instruct them to serve the next person in line. Should our phone friend complain, they would be informed that the staff person did not want to interrupt their terribly important telephone call.
This is something I whole-heartedly agree with! I also agree in slapping the precious phone from their hand and stomping on it, but that may be resigned to my fantasy world.

^^^^ again with the “ho” talk! MB is nothing if not consistent in his/her main focus of interest…… and not that there’s anything wrong with that but …..
nah, I am completely empathetic to mary bore’s obsession with hoes. this time of year, when the ground is frozen, the shed is locked up, all one can do is flip thru the veseys catalogue and dream of spring. ahhhhh wonderful spring, when one unlocks the shed, gathers up all the dull, rusting hoes and sets to work with steel wool and a squirt of oil to buff them up and sharpen those pitted parts. a little spritz of bright paint on the aging wood and my hoes are ready to service my every furrow.
yup
When I tended bar i wouldn’t acknowledge them until they got off the phone or just asked the person behind them instead.
I used to tend bars just for da ….. say it wit MB now….
DA HOES!
It’s time…. once again…. for everybody to come aboard the
