Who brings, let alone leaves, “every possible item of value [they] own” unattended at a bar? Not that thieving is a good thing EVER but stupid is as stupid does. Live and learn, OP.
Yeah, I gotta agree with Kay, it’s pretty stupid to bring valuables to a bar. You can’t expect to leave that kind of temptation sitting around in a place where there’s bound to be someone on the lookout for valuables to steal.
that’s why normal people don’t keep all their worldly items on them, unless you are a street person, and your coat, is your mobile home.
I do have to wonder also why “every possible thing of value ” was left in a coat unattended .Shitty as it to get ripped off – this isn’t paradise we live in were nothing gets stolen . It’s like people in winnipeg ( highest car theft capitol of canada for a few years ) saying – oh i just left my car running unlocked while i ran into 7-11 for a few seconds in the north end of winnipeg. At that point – you have to call them stupid when it goes missing .
Yea I forgot – yes the thief is mean i agree .
your coat is your mobile home…nice. i am curious what these high value items were dans le poche. i have peanut shells in my pockets caw caw caw
Have a “bar coat” that is meaningless if stolen and stop bringing all of your electro-toys to the bar, obviously you didn’t need them (in the bar) or else they would have been on your person. Never trust the coat-check (not the person…just the principle of checking your coat, countless people have fallen victim to missingstolen items in them)
Sorry your stuff got snatched…always sucks.
Good idea Der . Me – I just bring my cell in pocket – my drivers license for ID in pocket and cash in the front pocket and a coat i have no care for !!! Thou at my age I hardly see the need except for legalities to carry ID.
Yeah at 34 I am just now no longer getting carded (still look pretty young but…); the young lady at the beer store the other looked like she could be in high-school. LOL
HAHA Der I know that all to well !!! I was carded recently at the liquer store in calgary by a girl that was likely younger then my oldest daughter . I got a chuckle outta that .But I do get that in bars you have to carry proper ID to enter and remain in them . If the liquer inspector comes along and finds anyone without ID regardless of age – they can cause some problems for the establishment .I think I am going to start taking getting carded as a compliment haha !!!
LOL. Your coat is probably on Kijiji.
AHAHAHA <3, Life Sucks. "unless you're a street person and your coat is your mobile home"...I actually LOL'd when I read that.
what the hell, did you leave your jacket on the tables downstairs? If you did, and you left your valuables inside, you know you are an idiot, to which I would tell you to grow a brain. It’s a bar, not a church, which doesn’t make a difference anyway.
I wouldn’t trust my shit in church either !!! Thats why I leave nothing nowhere !!!
as a follow up to this story, i read that this person got her coat back, it was taken by mistake. and was returned to the owner, by someone who had an identical coat. and the writer never even bothered to come back and tell us. now that is another bitch. it is on the love the way we love section. so we can stop posting about the thief here now.
