North End? Isn’t that technically more the West End, along the north-western part of Windsor Street? I don’t know exactly where the boundaries lie, but I would have thought that it was along either Robie or Windsor Street. Maybe you could say you live in the North-West End, if we had Halifax divided into that style of quadrants like they do in Calgary.
Anyway, no need to think you’re not as cool if you don’t actually live in the now trendy “North End Halifax.” The West End is still kind of cool too – there’s a few decent local cafes and restaurants, and somewhat of a grit factor due to “The Pubs” (Micmac, Federal, Romans Avenue… hard fuckin’ core!), and at least doesn’t have the snooty reputation of South End Halifax, where I now live despite having no money and my mom living here having no money either.
Sorry, a bit off topic, but I know it’s LTWWL and no one’s going to read it anyway. Tree plantin’, yeah, awesome!
