The Progressive Conservative Party has taken over the building at the rotary that until recently was the Armdale Professional Center. Address 7211 Quinpool Road. They have set up a friggin’ lumber yard in the back parking lot of this building where they are hammering signs together for all the Tory candidates in the Halifax region. The problem is they are situated just feet from a large apartment building ( as close as 10 feet)! On the holiday they were out there hammering in this lumber yard before 8 am, as is the case most mornings. There are tons and tons of Tory signs stacked outside the Armdale Professional Center (around back).
They are left there all night too! Couldn’t they have found a more suitable place to set up their lumber yard?

Yeah, but is there a lumber yard involved?
This is nothing new. They did this during the last provincial election. I was living in the building on the other side (across the empty lot where the theatre used to be) and they were at it 7 days a week, starting around 6am sometimes. I even called in a noise complaint to the non-emergency line and the women at the other end said “what do you expect us to do?”. Were it a bunch of rowdy teenagers at 6am making that kind of noise, they’d arrest them. But since it’s the Tories and their political buddies, it’s ok. The worst part about it was all the garbage they let blow in to the empty lot and left there. There were at least a half a dozen large signs and all kinds of wood scraps and other garbage in there. The environment is certainly not on their agenda.
Just one more reason to not vote Tory in the next election! 😀
At least the tories have a good work ethic I guess?
I noticed a certain disgraced ex-DJ is running for the Tories or so says the sign at the Rotary. A gram of coke in every pot! Actually, I’d prefer the pot.
I could overlook this if they were hammering away at a giant cross to crucify that CB gym teaching hemmoroid called Rodney…..
I miss the good old days where John Buchanan (Captain Combover) and Mavis (make mine a double of the Captain) used to stand at the Rotary (as it was then) waving at all us poor fuckers on our way to work to pay for their grandiose lifestyle in Spryfield – pun intended…
nothing a well placed match couldn’t resolve (Halifax, you’re rubbin’ off on me)
Easy fix folks, just give them rubber or sponge hammers, they are too stupid to know any different. They’ve proved that already!
