Ugh, here we are again. It’s the middle of summer and apparently open-air concert season…

Here I am after a week of dealing with bitchy co-workers and crappy clients and I’m stuck listening to the awful, awful bass of this year’s shitty concert. Why so much bass? I live three whole blocks from the commons… why am I being subjected to this crap?

If I wanted to listen to whatever losers are playing right now, I would have shelled out for a ticket. As it is, earplugs and closed windows are not enough to keep the sucky out. Come on HRM… rezone the commons to keep the open air concerts away from our peaceful and quiet neighbourhoods! —Enough already!

  1. ah, right… I forgot this was a surprise concert that they sprung overnight and wasn’t published to be occurring months in advance. How could you have known you were about to be shaken out of your boots….

  2. i could hear it from my house, wheezer was okay, i guess the pee heads sucked and blew

  3. you guess? are we talking about the same BEP’s?
unless they were doing someone else’s songs…. they sucked.

They weren’t even that great at MSG a few years ago when they were actually popular.

  4. i went inside at that point….turned the fan and my tuneage way up. rawkin all by myself

  5. This bitch can easily be summed up as: The concert was too loud… WTF??!

Who the hell bitches about a concert being too loud… IT’S A CONCERT…

    Lamest bitch ever.

  6. you nailed it Bro these “bands” use so many studio effects that to hear them live is painful 🙁

  7. i remember watching duran duran live on the boob tube(don’t ask me why) fuck they were bad, really really bad…cringeworthy

  8. If you don’t appreciate noise then move out of the city, go to the country where you can complain and there is nobody around to hear your whiney ass.

  9. I could here it from my place quite well…actually I could feel it. I live very very close. I don’t really like any of the music except Weezer (they were awesome, even from my kitchen :D) but I dunno, I liked hearing music as I walked around. Fortunately, I was on my way to a friends house when BEP came on, so I didn’t have to hear much of them :P. Although, the 10-15 mins I was waiting for the bus, I got to hear their very very extended version of “Where is the Love” uggg.

  10. o.p.,it’s because they don’t know how to sing, or the lyrics sucked so bad, so they cover the crap up.

  11. Bass……what a great fish to catch 🙂
Wish there were too many of them. HONK~

    Enjoy your bass-noise.

  12. On the previous weekend, I was out in the birch cove/blue mountain potected wilderness area (about 8km from the commons) surrounded by trees and looking forward to some peace. Lo and behold, I had to listen to the garbage all day long, I couldn’t believe I could hear it from there!
    shit’s fucked up, man

  13. That is surprising Longwalker…considering I was at my friend’s place on Queen and Morris, and we heard nothing.

  16. EPIC. (and I hate that word but it’s all I can come up with… )
You have no idea if you weren’t there…..
I even wrote a love about it I’ve yet to see appear….
though I will never ever ever in the remaining entirety of my life forget symphony of destruction live. EVER.
Couple of awesome slayer tracks too…. Raining blood was amazing….

    just wow.

  17. I will admit though that metal shows definitely discriminate against the epileptic….
There’s no way they would have survived those strobes.
