To the stupid twit who was on the number 10 bus coming back from Mic Mac mall Sunday evening…
The same bitch who wouldn’t allow someone to sit down, giving her baggage a seat while many others were standing.
The same loser who had to be told by her friends (who seemed embarrassed by her brazen selfishness) to make room for a person to sit beside her.
The same spoiled brat who declared herself “too good for the bus” and bragged about some vehicle that she’d would normally drive.
Yah, you! If you read this, go fuck yourself! You’re not too good for the bus. Don’t act like you’re above everyone else who takes the bus simply because mommy and daddy have the money to provide.
I feel like an idiot for just bitching about this!

I’m better than that, I drive my car.
Whenever I come across someone using a seat for their bags and the bus is full…that bag gets moved regardless of it’s owners wishes. They either move it before I sit down or I move it and plop it in their laps.
Anyone that can’t have to guts to stand up for themselves against a bag shouldn’t leave the house. Give what you get or life will be hard.
You know, although I agree with you DER? in principle, I have taken the bus for 10 years now and have never seen anyone do that to anyone. I somehow find it not likely that you would too, but hey, it’s easy to talk tough behind the mask of the internet, eh?
That’s hardly acting tough. If you come at someone like you are going to sit on their stuff, they generally move it. If they don’t I just say, “can you move you bag so I can sit down”. I haven’t had anyone tell me to fuck off and stand yet.
Actually I have done that on at least three occasions, not that I ride the bus all that much (maybe twice a year now but was alot more in my youth). It’s not like I make a point of being blatantly rude about it either…I just do it quietly and the person has never said a thing about it. It’s easy to try and question someone’s “toughness” annonymously on the internet eh? If you met me you would realise that while I don’t go looking for trouble or pick fights…I am exactly how I present myself here, I stand up for myself and what I believe and I will make no concessions (though I do cede acceptance when truly proven wrong) about that; even though it has cost me a friend or two and at least one job.
I do plant a shoulder into people walking all togeather across a sidewalk (unless it’s a bunch of old ladies).
I do say excuse me to shopping cart aisle blockers and then plow through them if they have ignored a second excuse me.
I did pour an entire large pop over someone’s head at the Parklane A&W after they butted in line (in front of a half dozen other people) and then was rude about it; (even though the guy was twice my size) to this day I am still amazed that he didn’t try and kick my ass…I think he was just too shocked, frankly so was I…it was a “in the heat of the moment” kind thing; though that one was when I was still in my 20’s and rather rash and less refined.
I do tell cellphone talkers at the movies to shut the fuck up (politely at first and then increase my displeasure).
It’s just the way I am…I have been trying to “just let things go” more and it is actually my New Years Resolution to do just that…but it’s hard when someone is being an ass. Think of me like a modern equivalent of Red from That 70’s Show…only younger.
I should clarify…the guy that butted in line was rude about it, not I was rude about it after pouring the pop over his head. I was actually very polite about it (about as polite as one can be when doing something as rude as that).
DER? is my hero, especially with regard to the A&W story.
Oh I am no hero for doing that…regardless if the guy was being a douche, I was the bigger douche for droping beneath his level like that. I am certain he never butted in line again or at least thought hard about ever doing it again, but I could have gotten the both of us arrested if things progressedescalated any further than that.
It was a really dumb thing to do, but as I said…I didn’t think, I just reacted and was lucky he didn’t try to bash me. I know I would have reacted far worse had the situation been reversed and I would have tried to bash on him.
It’s exactly that attitude (not letting things go or to just drop an issue) that cost me my wife and a large part of my personal happiness throughout 2009. I advise everyone to take a page from the lesson I learned in ’09 and find a way to try and just let somethings go, it’s not worth it. LTWWB is the best place to vent those things that are trivial but annoying, it’ll save your life (or at least prolong it).
Stress kills
Although I agree with der – I doubt he’s a “internet ” tough guy . I think He would do it . I would do given the circumstance to someone . If someone asks for a seat – give it to them . What the fuck does your bag need a seat for ? Anyways – I do and will plant a shoulder into rude assholes just to see a reaction – as well as after asking someone to move their stuff – I will plant my ass right on their stuff . Rude begets rude .
What a waste of a perfectly good large pop, DER 🙁
Did the A&W people at least refill it for ya?
LoL no they didn’t…after I made such a mess it was pretty clear that although they disliked that guy as well; they weren’t pleased about having to mop up after my little lesson on manners.
you should have offered to borrow their mop and clean the mess in exchange for a refill 🙂
Well if she said she was too good for the bus, you should have told her to get the fuck off then.
I agree, OP…
…you probably DO feel like an idiot for this bitch.
BTW, many people, yes even young folks, have a car not because of mom and dad…but because they’ve decided that having one is important to them…they’ve worked hard, saved up, looked for a good deal, and bought one….perhaps making sacrifices like going without a $10 a day coffee habit like many anti-car folks…
I thought about offering to clean up…but I figured it would be better that I leave before the shock wore off and the dude went into a psychotic episode.
I have seen someone remove the bag of a random stranger from a seat on a crowded form of public transport before!
Not here in Halifax though, of course, but on a crowded STM Metro train in Montreal. They’re a lot more straightforward there. I like it!
Nice to do that people but keep in mind that one of the people you do that may be carrying a gun or knife and have had a bad day. Just sayin’.
What…they are going to shoot or stab someone infront of a bus load of people because the person moved their bag. If I do something, anything to a person and they start reaching into their jacket with crazy eyes going…that’s when I will shuck their eyes out with my thumbs, or run, just depends on how close they are. Better if there is a small child nearby…they make GREAT shields…
