On a nice, bright sunny afternoon, I decide to head out for a walk and realized about 2 hours into my walk, that I was having technical “plumbing” problems and needed a bathroon urgently. I see a convenience store up ahead, where I am a frequent customer, and make a run for it and ask the cashier where the bathroom is located. He says there are none. I explain to him I have an urgent problem and need a bathroom immediately, so asks where he goes to the bathroom when he needs to go. He shrugs. and I leave in a hurry with no time to spare. With nothing around but houses, I proceed to a house nearby with someone working outside who graciously let me use their facilities. My question is, as a business owner, and a human with basic needs, when is it right to deny your customers a basic human function, especially when they are having problems? Shouldn’t there be some sort of law?

You can’t blame stores for closing their washrooms to the public when most people make a mess and others use the place to shoot up and leave the needles behind. The only place required to provide public washrooms is a restaurant with eat-in service.
Ever notice most older homes have a bathroom near the front door? it was generally considered a social norm to let a stranger use your bathroom when in need. the good old days!Seriously, whats wrong with people these days.
It’s a conveience store not a restaurant. Restaurants or service places that require you to sit in for a substantial time are required by law to provide restrooms. Conveience stores don’t because you walk in and walk out. Sucks to be you, request more public washrooms to your city councellor. Also they are only required to provide facilities to CUSTOMERS. If you bought something you had a legal ground to be offered something, you didn’t then stop wasting their time. And what’s wrong with people is that they got tired of cleaning shit off their toilet. I’ve seen some NASTY washrooms and I know that as a cashier I am NOT cleaning other people’s shit so they could fuck themselves and buy depends. Also in the good old days you didn’t have people robbing you left right and center or raping you for the kicks of it… Times change and you don’t trust anyone otherwise you would get skullfucked and then killed and then have someone shit down your severed head. People are crazy and if you want to invite them to do crazy in your home then by all means go nuts, just don’t cry for mercy when they are eating your liver while you are still alive…

PS – with that kinda of rhetoric about skullfucking, you CAN NOT poop in my house!
ok last post didn’t make any sense.obviously this person was ill, and caught in an isolated area, and needed a bathroom. Even if the person was crazy, why would they be more inclined to rob you if they went to the bathroom ? There is no need for a public washroom in a convenience store, but the employee could have made an exception when he saw the person was in pain/uncomfortable. They Had to be desperate enough to go to a convenience store to begin with, much less ask a perfect stranger. There are times when exceptions can be made, and I believe this was one of them.
While I understand your plight for many reasons that need not be told, this may be the reason why you couldn’t use their washroom:The already mentioned theft, drugs, rape, etc, etc, etc.If YOU fuck up their toilet, where are THEY supposed to go?? Maybe that’s the only washroom. I worked in a place that had a public and a staff washroom. The public one was ALWAYS out of order because of someone being a pig or breaking the handle every single week cause they flushed with their feet instead of paper towel (just as clean) or other various reasons. Our staff wshroom was the only one in the building. We would have had to go in the bushes if someone broke ours.Got it??
