As a year-round cyclist, I want to send big love to the vast majority of Halifax drivers.  I know some cyclists can be poor ambassadors for the rest of us, but very few drivers here have stopped giving cyclists the room and respect we deserve. —Nor’easter

Now if we could only get them to stop running into pedestrians in cross-walks we’d be set.
^^yup. and dear cyclists, i support and endorse and applaud your method of transport but my gawd i am terrified every time i see one on prospect rd.
You sure it’s not a case of pedestrians flinging their bodies at the cars???
It’s a conspiracy.
^^ nah, it’s that new & improved ktel ped-launcher eject-o crosswalk
How about you cyclists give pedestrians some respect and KEEP OFF THE FN SIDEWALKS and stop for pedestrians while we’re crossing the street?!!
I’m sure in some cases, Z, it’s the fault of the pedestrian, not paying attention. But I think in most cases it’s the drivers fault.
1. As a driver you’re supposed to slow and use caution at a cross-walk whether there’s a pedestrian there or not.
2. People tend to text a lot when they drive these days, I hate it when someone does that when I am a passenger.
3. As a pedestrian, I generally try to make sure there are no metal cages hurling toward me when I enter the road. Some pedestrians are self-entitled d-bags (just like some drivers are) but I think they’re more likely to look both ways than a driver is.
