Thanks for the generous tip of $15 on a bill that was less than $50. People like you make serving in a restaurant a LOT more enjoyable.
You told me everything was great and the food was delicious. But let me tell you that if you come in again, it’s going to be even better, I promise. This also goes to every other customer who has tipped me well (or at all). —Happy Server

Glad to know that the quality of service I get depends on the size of my wallet.
heh heh…
it does appear to be all about the lubrication there angel.
who says money can’t buy happiness?
Money may not buy happiness but poverty buys you a family size bucket of suck-ass.
I notice Mod 4.0 has resurrected the “Tag”
Let us burn much nutmeg at the shrine of Sredni Vashtar.
I hadn’t noticed the tags again… nice!
wonder if the banners will again see the light of day?
one step at a time I suppose…
and I still think money can buy happiness. I have to at this point.
yes i noticed the tags, i think things have been going swimmingly since maude took the helm
as long as i can afford to feed the creatures…2 and 4 legged- je suis contente
“Glad to know that the quality of service I get depends on the size of my wallet.”
How could he/she have possibly known WHILE serving them that they would leave a good tip AFTER he/she was finished.
He/She was just saying thanks!
Why are people so negative on here, it’s depressing!!
Happy Server – I had a couple leave me a $15 tip on a $35 bill and I still talk about it! (It was like 3 years ago). Things like this make you feel appreciated in a job where most people view you as a servant. Good Stuff
it was the fact that (s)he is going to PROMISE to provide BETTER service next time…
simply because (s)he knows they pay.
you can’t say that.. at all. I waited tables all through school and i rarely remembered what people left on the table, i’d remember faces and if they were friendly
grasping at straws and spewing bullshit for the sake of it!
So a normal tip for you becomes more and more meaningless.
Tippers (the PEOPLE who do it) are beyond out of control. Most people in the world DON’T TIP.
They should be more careful. ONE, because a NORMAL 15% tip looks VERY CHEAP now. TWO, so restaurant owners with fat wallets are forced to pay their staff what they are worth. The owners are the ones who benefit MOST, and they want to REDUCE minimum wage for restaurant workers????
I never ever ever gave a shit about getting a huge tip. TWO dollars in tips every hour boosted my salary up to $11/hour, which is reasonable to me, but not enough to support a particular habit many service industry workers may or may not have.
Thank you zzz, my point exactly. And I can say that, because he/she informed of us that in their love.
I used to be a better tipper, until I noticed my wallet getting smaller while the service didn’t necessarily get better. Now my standard tip is about 12 – 15%. I seriously wish we would get rid of “tipping culture” altogether, but I doubt that will happen.
“but not enough to support a particular habit many service industry workers may or may not have.” ARE YOU FOR REAL?!?!?! I have finished my pharmacy education……I AM SMART……I am a waitress…Im paying off an over priced education in a happier environment…Nice assumtion though…you can say that about any job…lets not pay doctors high salarys, they may get a bad habbit….HA….read a book sometime. Educate yourself and stop judging!
