I’m truly sorry that another human being was killed but the fact that it was a black man that killed another black man makes my laugh when the -murderers- family talks about race being an issue. Wright was seen by countless people. For the police to lay first degree murder charges they must feel they have their man – 100%.I feel for all families involved – especially the family of the murder victim. He won’t be able to have any more photos taken of him. Mr. Wright is lucky that he is in Canada or he might be facing the same fate as his victim. A tragic end to a young life.

In polls at the time (OJ) the vast majority of black people felt he was innocent while the vast majority of whites felt he was guilty.No surprise the same garage is rearing it’s stupid head here. I get so sick of the race card being played as a defence. If the sh*t did it then it doesn’t matter what his background is.
The family of Mr. Wright was handing out pamphlets requesting “Please Don’t Let Society Condemn This Man Because of His Past.” I completely agree with this sentiment. He should not be condemned or judged in this incident based on his previous abhorent crime. If he is found innocent of this crime, then by all means, let him go. However, if he is judged to be guilty of the stabbing then I hope that his past will be taken into full account when he is sentenced.Don’t hand us that bullsh*t about being such a nice guy. I’m sure around his friends and family he’s the pillar of goodness, smiling with his new baby and all. How about showing a photo of him standing over the barber he had just stabbed 14 times. Both photos are indicative of his personality.
Why don’t they slap something about africville on that flyer or rodney king.I think that black people and Jewish people use this racial trump card way too often.

I was quite surprised to see the photo of him on the cover of the Daily News proclaiming that he was an innocent man. Isn’t this a newspaper interefering with justice? I mean if the Daily News ran a front page story stating he was a guilty man, there would be hell to pay. The newspapers should stay the hell out of making judgements on someone’s guilt AND innocence. Running stories like that can mislead potential jurors. (At least, that is what his defense lawyer would say if the second scenario were true.)
If hes saying he innocent you have to think of him as innocent until proven guilty. Thats how the law works. Maybe the mom is grasping for straws but I think I would probably do the same thing If it was my son. I hope if he is guilty that he comes forward and does the right thing because If not hes going to have to live with himself forever. If he is innocent this has definitely ruined his life.
Have you never noticed the Daily News’ lack of anything remotely resembling journalistic integrity? Their staff whore that paper out constantly to political and business causes. Ever noticed how much “advertorial” there is in that thing? It exists to make money, not provide news. I am not surprised in the least. I haven’t been able to read that thing in years.
The Daily News is owned by (and thus run like) a soulless conglomerate. Other than a few major local stories, the paper is a collage of correspondent stories. It is barely the shell of a local paper and has been on its last leg for a while now. I’m convinced the only reason it is still in circulation is because of that convenient tabloid format that lets you read it without full use of a kitchen table. It’s a shame to see it in such disarray.
I always do the crossword and use the rest for packing or lighting fires. You mean thats actually meant to be read? I thought It was just a decoration
