When I first looked at the cover to this week’s Coast (for Oct 30-Nov 6), I first thought “Hey, that spooky chick is cute”. But when I saw the armpit hair , GAG! PLEASE tell me that bush under your arm is simply part of the costume. If not, go back to Europe!

When I say ‘hippy bush’ ain’t cool, I am of course making an expression of personal preference and don’t expect anyone to conform to that line of thought or change their habits. On the question of male grooming, I have at times shaved the pubes of my cock and ball(s) area, it can heighten the experience for all involved, but don’t take my word for it.

Hmm, compressing responses to two issues has lead to people thinkign that I am looking for an excuse to talk about my hairless cock and ball sack. It was mentioned that males do not ‘groom’, I just wanted to point out that some do.I was not comparing armpit hair to ball sacks. I was pointing out that the presence of armpit hair on a woman may lead one to conclude that she has a hairy pussy. I do not feel that is always the case but I would (personally) err on the side of caution and avoid a situation that could lead me to go ‘downtown’. Thats all.

i get that some (a lot) of people find unshaven female pit hair to be unattractive, but i don’t understand why people automatically assume that women who don’t shave their pits stink or that they don’t bathe on a regular basis. some girls who do shave their pits stink, and most guys don’t shave their pits – some stink, some don’t. how about just complaining about stinky people? why drag people’s body hair grooming habits into it?

It may be societal norm for women to shave their armpit hair and men find it unattractive, but you know what? Most women find hair on men’s backs and shoulders utterly repulsive, but there are damn few of you that are willing to shave or wax it off. Maybe we should make back hair removal a “societal norm” so that women won’t have to be grossed out by all that hair come summertime and you’re all going shirtless at the beach.
