not only does she get HALF the value of any assests, she gets HALF the debt as well accumulated through her time with the man as common law. Nova Scotia is very good in that it offers no fault in settlements. If you have children under 18, that’s different. but if you have a job with no significant difference between your earnings and your partners, then you probably wont qualify for spousal management payments either.
