I love the Halifax library system and all its branches. So many books, magazines – all free – and excellent online functions for putting things on hold. I’ve enjoyed so much reading and learning over the years and for someone who can’t stand to own a whole bunch of stuff, reading your books and watching your movies and then returning them is the most wonderful thing. I can’t think of a better place for public money than the library. Well, healthcare is good too 🙂
I’ve lived in other Canadian cities, and nothing compares to Halifax’s system.

I agree 100%!!
I am an avid patron of the library and I think the Halifax Public Library system *rocks*. It’s a rare occasion when they don’t have a book that I’m looking for and you gotta love the free magazines, DVDs and CDs. My favourite is the online catalogue where you can request an item be brought to your local branch…talk about great customer service. And I can’t wait for the new Woodlawn location to open. Keep up the great work!
