I am not sorry that I didn’t see you were turning left off of Bloomfield onto Agricola tonight (thursday) and thus expected me too late to leave you space to do so while I waited for the light to change. In fact, I am very glad I didn’t notice you wanted to do that in time to offer you that courtesy (and it is a courtesy while also being not the safest choice of any driver anyway for either the person letting them through or the person turning.) I am so glad I didn’t: your flashing your brights and honking as well as yelling and waving for me to reverse (as if that would be safe as well) to let you through was so far beyond reasonable it was laughable. I am so glad not to reward such a negative mean person as you. (My child was in the car, by the way. Great example you are!) Do you want to know how long you had your uncalled for tantrum there while the light changed? 1 minute. That’s right. 1 minute. Does that justify your ignorance and impatience? No. So I suggest you go review defensive driving rules and get your blood pressure checked, because if you weren’t having a heart attack then, I expect if you will have one soon. And I won’t be bothered one bit. —A Better Human Than You

  1. So let me get the geometry figured out first. You two were perpendicular to each other? There is no light there that I can picture right now. How were you in his way? I’m… thinking of this intersection and unless he was trying to cut you off, I can’t see how you were in the way at all. Left turns at non-lights have to yield to through traffic.

Some giant dumbfuck TRIED to cut me off at that same intersection. He got tired of waiting to turn right onto agricola and so decided to try and just pull out in front of me. I honked at him and he stopped. Two inches shy of an accident.

  2. BLOOMFIELD & AGRICOLA

You must never go to the corner of Bloomfield and Agricola at night. Preferably, you should never go there at all, night or day.

    A pleasure as always.

    Cheerio!

  3. I think I know what the OP is talking about. Due to the light the traffic was backed up and I’m assuming the OP was going north on Agricola. The Lights he/she is talking about are the Almon / Agricola intersection.

I’m thinking that the OP, which is very common and annoying practice here, blocked the bloomfield intersection waiting for the light to change.
Not sure why drivers do that here but I think it’s more the “only me on the road” mentality.
So instead of stopping a further back rather then entirely blocking the intersection, not because they didn’t see the intersection, but because they’re just selfish.

So I can see the other driver’s frustration. You’re a very considerate OP 😉

Also considering that “Canada’s Worst Driver” did a survey and concluded that NS is the worst place to drive in Canada, I believe that’s what happened unless OP states otherwise.

  4. Seems to me that if you had simply followed the law and not blocked the street, it would never have happened…

  5. yeah..you’re not supposed to enter any sort of intersection unless you have space to also exit it… I get frustrated all the time when people don’t have the forethought to notice that they’ll be blocking traffic. There’s a very technical term for what OP’s behaviour causes – gridlock!

Not saying it’s right to curse and honk and wave your arms about it, but you can only vent silently for so long when people are blocking traffic like this CONSTANTLY.
