What the eff is up with the airport these days?! I’m not trying to downplay airline workers’ jobs, but what exactly are we paying more and more for? I have to pay to check a bag in now, check in at a kiosk, but oh no wait im forced by a worker to go to the counter to check my bag.. when in reality I have to lug my bag to the back of the room and check it in myself. The only thing you did was hand me my boarding pass. What a rip off! everything costs more and their employees do less.. and the cost of oil is way down. buncha crooks. —my back hurts

walk a mile in someone else’s shoes. do someone’s job for a week. even a day.
everyone’s job looks easy from outside.
there are few industries that can afford to have utter deadwood around. most likely they have been cutting staff and services have to be clawed back.
think about everything that goes into getting 100 or so people into a big metal thing that goes into the air to zip you across the country (intact) in mere hours. VS walking or ox cart.
CLEAR COHERENT THINKING
“I’m not trying to downplay airline workers’ jobs, but what exactly are we paying more and more for? ,,, The only thing you did was hand m my boarding pass. What a ripoff! Everything costs more and their employees do less.” My back hurts
Read the first sentence, then read the second. Do you see the disconnect between them? That’s right! While denying that you are doing so you then proceed to downplay he airline workers’ jobs. That is not clear coherent thinking. On the contrary, is it engaging in incoherent self-contradiction. You must struggle to understand this but something tells me you never will.
A pleasure as always,
Cheerio!
And don’t fly Porter!
Air travel used to be glamorous and fun. Going to the airport was exciting. My first long trip was on Air Canada to Europe in the early nineties. We were fed several times: tea and cones right after takeoff, snacks, and then breakfast . They also came around with hot wet towels part way through the flight. I was never without a drink. It was awesome. Nowadays, it seems like passengers are a burden to be endured by the airport and plane staff.
^^ tea and scones
Next we better start boning up on flying a plane, as that may be the next requirement to get to our destination.
Something tells me this is where we’re headed.
