dearest bus driver, you look upon me with and scold me when I do not wait for the jerk chatting to you to exit the bus on this raining day, then you pull away before I even get in my seat and I almost fall over, you glare at me and when I finally get to my seat, just so you know you jerk, I have worked all night and am super tired, am just getting over the flu as I work in a job with limited benefits UNLIKE YOU! I am so tired of cranky bus drivers who do not appreciate their job and their benefits

  1. First off OP, http://jobs.workopolis.com/jobshome/db/hrm…

Sounds like you’d like our job better than yours so I thought I’d pass it along. Apply by Friday.

Second, the “chatting” you describe could have been the passenger saying thanks, have a good day, asking a question about another bus time, etc… If I see a boarding passenger at least make an effort to see if anyone’s departing, or if the departing person was closer to the back door, then I can overlook things, but we see a lot of people just charge onto the bus without bothering to see if anyone’s exiting. Even if I put my hand out in a “stop” manner, many people don’t even notice that and that’s when I say something. That can make a driver cranky as it’s a bit rude towards the exiting passenger. Did you say excuse me as you went by at least?

  2. Terrific, yet another bitch who thinks a day or a weeks worth of pay is worth more than protecting coworkers and the riding public from their illness. If you’re sick STAY HOME!!! Maybe the bus driver was pissed you put him at risk.

  3. How much time did you spend in the rain before the bus pulled up?
How much extra time did you spend in the rain because of the “jerk”.
    Think about that.

Also, the bus driver was probably cranky with you because you barged through and didn’t even try to apologize, but exposing a him/her and a busload of passengers to your flu would be an even better reason. …especially given that you are acutely aware how much assholishness your strain of flu brings on.

  4. First rule of bus riding: get on and grab a fucking pole if you don’t want to go flying when the bus pulls away. This is not elementary school where the driver waits till everyone’s sitting on the big yellow (or little yellow) bus…but it sounds like you could USE a lesson in riding the big yellow bus, OP, before you attempt to ride the big people’s bus.

Also: stay the fuck home if you’re sick.

  5. I think I was on this bus (in Dartmouth on Saturday): talking driver and passenger blocking the entrance and a girl being virtually knocked off her feet by the bus’s start up lunge (I thought she fell down the back door steps for a sec).
