I am guessing you didn’t have the guts to tell this to the “old fart” in the face. If you didn’t, then you failed to defend your dog’s right to pee on the light pole. Did you apologize to your dog for not standing up for him?
i guess people like you o.p., give all dog owners bad reps. how about if a small kid came over and touched that pole, hmmm.
maybe he just expected you to catch the pee and dump it in the harbour, kind of like what our toilets do for us.

Litter box, martym. I know of some dog owners (of small dogs that they keep indoors) that have trained their dog to use doggie toilet indoors. Also I have seen cats use the human toilet, even flushing it after the deed. Have I scared you yet?

LS: I wouldn’t let my kid touch the pole to begin with. Not because of the dog piss but because of the many drunks that have probably pissed, spit or god knows what on that pole. That’s what disinfectant wipes are for, anyway. At least the dog would probably be cleaner.
The kid didn’t just touch the pole…..but hugged it and sat down around it. Dog pee.
